MARIDART
Estació Vegana is for us more than just cuisine, it represents our way of living and of understanding the world we live in.
We love sharing this project and after a long time thinking about it we have come up with MARIDART.
MARIDART consists of a cycle of 4 dinners per year. One for each season: winter, spring, summer, autumn.
To pay tribute to one of the pillars of our cuisine we design courses made exclusively with seasonal produce. These dinners are blended with art performances. Every artist who joins our project designs aqn art form to suit a course we have created.
We trust that this will be one of the many projects that will help us see cooking in a different light. In other words to turn cuisine into an empowering activity addressed not only to the palate but to all of our senses.
We wish to share it with you.
MaridArt Winter
Our first MARIDART was the winter one.
For this occasion we prepared 8 surprise courses specially designed for this experience. We blended each course with a dance piece devised by dancers Oriol Anglada Oriol Anglada and Joana Quesada. Oriol is currently playing the role of Bernardo in “ West Side Story” and has formed part of the cast of many musicals such as “Beauty And The Beast”, ”Cabaret”, “Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert”, “Dirty Dancing” and “Grease”. He has also formed part of the ballet company of the Gran Teatro del Liceo. Joana Quesada is currently playing the role of Pauline in West Side Story and has been cast in many musicals such as “Billy Eliot”, “Hoy no me puedo levantar”, “Fiebre del sábado noche” and “Cómplices”. She has also worked in television, advertising and child shows.
This dinner took place in the Nau Bostik at the KM 14 Hall on February 3 at 8 p.m and lasted nearly two hours.
The number of guests was limited so as to ensure an intimate and unique event. The atmosphere was almost magical and most of the guests agreed that the art pieces had blended beautifully. It was a great pleasure to have blended our cuisine with two top dancers as Oriol and Joana.
We would also like to thank Anna and Maria who did a wonderful job as waitresses acting as go-betweens with kitchen and guests.
Apart from chefs Nuria and Marina, Claudia proved to be very resourceful respcting quality and timely delivery.
Marta as our sound engineer and responsible for the lighting did a wonderful job and gave the show a magical touch.
Last bur not least Eva and Miriam were in charge of the photography and video editing. They have done a wonderful job capturing the highlights of this event.
