At the helm of the kitchen at Estació Vegana are Núria and Marina. Together we discovered that with 100% plant-based ingredients we could create a whole world of flavors and textures. As we tried new recipes, we felt the need to share them with friends and family. And hence the idea of ​​making artisanal cuisine and sharing it with the world through catering and fairs.

We didn’t arrive in the kitchen by chance, but by the hand of our grandmothers and mothers. We grew up among pots that simmered, long tables where there was always room for someone else, and recipes that weren’t written down but were deeply learned.

They taught us that cooking was caring, celebrating what is small and supporting what is difficult and saying I love you without words.

To honor this memory, we always cook with respect and sensitivity to make your event not just a meal, but a moment that deserves to be remembered.

When someone trusts us, we assume the same commitment we saw at home, to make each person feel cared for and loved.

We are Núria and Marina and together we will make your event unforgettable.

Our kitchen, our world

The world moves too fast, which is why we have chosen to cook over low heat. Rescuing recipes learned from generation to generation, with all the Mediterranean flavor and, when necessary, reinventing some ingredients to obtain solely vegetable dishes.

The world is very big, and we don’t like to close ourselves off in the kitchen. Respecting our races, we incorporate recipes from other cultures into our menus. Because what captivates us about food is not only tradition, but its diversity. That’s why our main ingredient is cooking made with love, the cooking of artisans.

And since we only have one in the world, we strongly believe in the importance of cooking with organic and local products. Local to encourage direct relationships, without intermediaries, such as farmers and suppliers. And organic to be part of a conscious care of the environment and products free of substances harmful to health and the earth. For this reason, we work with seasonal products, respecting the natural maturation of each one.

Núria says about Marina…

When little Marina opened the fridge in her house in Horta, she found food that was a little different from the other children at school. She always tells me that her family turned meals into a tasting party, there wasn’t a first and second course like in other houses, there were many, small tastings full of different flavors.

The subtlety, love and care with which the ingredients were chosen and cooked in her home, always healthy and organic, permeates Marina’s way of cooking, today, as the mistress of the stove in her home and as the chef of Estació Vegana. Forget the typical boiled vegetables without any seasoning, Marina likes to experiment with cereals, legumes and vegetables, inventing recipes that seem to have come from the best restaurant in the world. But she likes sharing them with family and friends even more.

And when it comes to finding a but, she is very, very careful about ensuring that each dish does not lack any nutrients. That in addition to being tasty, it is healthy and balanced. It probably comes from when she was a sports trainer, where she had to always be in shape and food was the way to ensure that she was always in shape.

Marina says about Núria…

Núria’s family is one of those that you will always find around the table, inviting friends and family to a good meal. That’s why she has grown up surrounded by a passion for good food and slow cooking.

But little Núria, sensitive and committed by instinct, already felt a strong rejection of eating meat, the result of her love for animals.

His childlike intuition was reaffirmed at university where he became aware of the concept of anti-speciesism and learned a different way of understanding the relationship with non-human animals. The change began with food and has continued in all facets of his life.

A psychologist and art therapist by training, she has found in cooking a form of art, a therapeutic activity and expression that improves health and relationships. For this reason, she values ​​tasty and seasoned cuisine, the kind in which each bite reveals new flavors and sensations. Demanding, meticulous, creative and patient, she always goes a step further in the preparation of each dish.
